Memories:
MY FONDEST MEMORIES OF AUNT HELEN WERE THE FANTASTIC POTATO SALAD SHE MADE. I TO THIS DAY, HAVE NEVER EVER TASTED POTATO SALAD AS GOOD AS SHE MADE. I AM SURE THAT HER AND NANA ARE UP IN HEAVEN CATCHING UP ON LOST TIME. LOVE YOU ALL!
The Cekutas were our neighbors when I was growing up. My sister Bev & I played with their daughters Marlene & Patty all the time. One of my earliest memories of Helen was the summer when I was about 7. Helen sewed outfits for Marlene, Patty, Bev & me: shorts and a short top with elastic around the midriff. I was amazed that she could make clothes. It inspired me to learn how to sew. (Thank you, Helen.) Later, after Tom died and after my Dad died, Helen and my Mom became very close friends. So many wonderful memories . . . Paul & I send our condolences to all of her family. She will be missed so much by so many.
My favorite mrmory of Helen was every New Years Eve at midnight she would open her front door and ring a bell. My mother (Doodie MIller) would do the same. She was a good friend to Mom and I'm sure she will be grearly missed by family and friends.
So sorry to read about the passing of Helen. I met her at Wegmans where I worked. I helped her shop and quickly grew very fond of her. She was a very sweet and caring woman. Helen made me smile and I'm glad I got to know her.
Helen (Mary) was a wonderful mom and devoted to her family. I remember her always smiling with a very sunny disposition. Your choice of a special service for the family is a beautiful way to say goodbye. Much love to you all.
Helen was so much fun. I always remember her with that little slanted smile and her crossword puzzles. Yes, Helen wasn't only my second mother when I was growing up, she was also my friend. I was so blessed to have such a wonderful person as Helen in my life, she made a difference. I will always have the fondest memories. We send our love to all the Cekuta family. Georgia and Carl.
To Marlene, your siblings, and Aimee,Denise,Jeannie ,Shelly,Robbie and Mike: I am sorry for your loss. Wishing you all peace at this very sad time. With lots of love to you all, Lenore and John D'arpino and family
